Gripes Expanded

As a businessman (sounds grander than it is, in reality it's like trying to hold down five jobs and only getting paid for one of them - minimum wage too!!) I tend to notice things good and bad in other businesses.

Nothing unusual about that I know, it's always the things that stand out one way or another that we all notice. But for me these things can make me puff out my chest if I think we're doing a good job by comparison, they can make me wring my hands in shame wondering how some companies can possibly be as good as they are (and realising how far away we are) and other things simply get me thinking about how people see us as a company.

This last thought is often prefixed by the first, chest puffing-out self-congratulation. "Ha ha, look at them, see how they treat their customers, see how fantastic we are in comparison...". Mmmm, are we really that much better or is it simply that our perception of ourselves is entirely different to how others see us.

The first example of a bad customer experience was last year when I had to make a long trip and decided to get my broken car radio fixed...

Intro

Well, here goes....

Unlikely to be of interest to anyone, even if they should happen to stumble across it, so I guess this blog is just for me.

At this stage I have no idea what it's likely to contain, but my best guess would be gripes.

Still, who knows, I might surprise myself
